Volunteering: Getting Started

Page history last edited by Olivier Gourment 14 years, 8 months ago

Today, this page has some basic information on how to set-up accounts.  Eventually, this page should/will have more detailed steps on how to volunteer.

Setting-up Accounts

Here are the three sites that the PMI Agile members are using to communicate and set-up:

Yahoo group

The simplest most effective step to volunteering is to join the yahoo group.  The team uses the group to communicate via email.

  1. Go to http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/pmiagile/
  2. Click on the "Join this group" button on the right hand side

PBWorks Wiki site

Much of the content developed by the team is hosted on this wiki (at http://agile-pm.pbworks.com/) You can review content, but to comment or add content, you need to create an account.

  1. To create an account, click on the 'create an account' link in the upper right-hand portion of the page.
  2. Once you have an account, go to your pbworks Home https://my.pbworks.com/?p=home
  3. Enter agile-pm in the 'Join a workspace' field and press submit
  4. You should be taken to the agile-pm home page
  5. You can review/add comments at the bottom of any page
  6. You can edit any page

PMI Communities Site

This site requires a valid PMI site userID and password to log in.  Is at http://agile.community.pmi.org

TBD: Needs steps for PMI User  and non PMI users? to be granted access to the PMI site
