PMI Agile Formal Launch Reception @ ThoughtWorks HQ

August 25, 2009 @ 7:00PM:  Formal Launch Reception, hosted by ThoughtWorks, Inc at their headquarters across the street from the conference located on the 25th floor, 200 East Randolph Street Chicago, IL 60601.   To register and participate in this event you will need to RSVP with ThoughtWorks.

PMI Agile Workshops and Sessions

  1. August 24, 2009 2:00PM:   "What is an Agile Project Manager anyway?" - A interactive workshop featuring several Agile experts and PMPs to help you explore the altered role of a Project Manager on an Agile project.
  2. August 24, 2009 7:00PM:  "Fresher's Fair" at the ice breaker, where attendees can meet PMI Agile Community leaders, and pick up a PMI button to show their support. 
  3. August 26, 2009 @ 11:00AM:  "The Agile PMP: Teaching an Old Dog New Tricks" -  A presentation for traditional project managers to learn how to adapt Agile practices to their environments, right away when they go back to their day jobs.
  4. August 27, 2009 @ 4:00PM:  "Growing PMI Using Agile" - A presentation of how we used Agile Project Management to form a PMI volunteer organization.
  5. August 28, 2009 all day:  Various self-organized sessions at the "Telling Your Stories" and "Open Jam" stages, covering topics related to PMI and Agile Project Management.
